Collection of Bulky Refuse and WEEE:- This service is provided weekly on Friday 9.30am onwards). Residents are kindly requested to report items for collection by phoning the Council on 21442323.
Collection of Household Waste:- This service is provided Monday, Thursday and Saturday from 9.00am onwards. Residents are kindly requested not to put out refuse earlier than one hour before collection time in their street.
Collection of Organic Waste:- This service is provided Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.00am onwards. Residents are kindly requested not to put out refuse earlier than one hour before collection time in their street.
Recycled collection:- This service is provided on Tuesdays. Green/grey refuse bags are to be put out at the same time they put out refuse from 9.00am onwards.
Cleaning of roads:- All roads within the village are cleaned manually between Monday and Saturday according to the schedule. Residents are kindly requested not to leave any vehicles parked in the street when their road is being swept. Grass cutting is provided on a periodical basis and as required.

Payment of Police & Local Warden’s Contraventions:- Payments are accepted at the Local Council’s Office daily during office hours (Summer: Monday – Saturday: 8.00am – 11.30am, Winter: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 11:30am & 1:30pm – 3:30pm and Saturday: 8.00am – 11.30am).
Payment of Rents on Government property:- Payments are accepted at the Local Council’s Office daily during office hours (Summer: Monday – Saturday: 8.00am – 11.30am, Winter: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 11:30am & 1:30pm – 3:30pm and Saturday: 8.00am – 11.30am).
Educational and Cultural Outings:- These visits are organised every second Thursday of the month. More details are displayed on the Council’s notice boards and from the Local Council’s Office. Residents are urged to book early.
Complaints/Suggestions Handling:- Residents who wish to lodge a complaint/forward a suggestion to the Local Council or to a Government Department are requested to contact the Local Council. This process involves: Registration of complaint/suggestion, Verification, Reference to the concerned authorities, Feedback.
Street Lighting:- When reporting a burnt-out lamp please include the 3 digit reference number placed on most lamps e.g. W013/24.
Upkeep of Roads:- The Local Council is responsible for the upkeep of all the roads within our locality
Playing Field:- We invite you to visit this recreational area situated in Guze Bonnici Street.
Public Convenience:- The public lavatory is situated under Joseph A. Stellini Garden in Main Street and is opened daily including Sundays and Public Holidays.
Permits covering the undermentioned are issued upon application to the Local Council:-
Organisation of outdoor activities held in the locality, the placement of skips, placement of mobile kiosks (during the village feast), placing of tables and chairs, deposit of cranes and other construction machinery/equipment, the deposit of material in the street, the placing of kiddie ride machines and vending machines, permits for the trenching of roads, the placing of stalls and kiosks and permits to perform other road works in the locality.

Free internet service available from the Council’s Office on the following days:-

Winter: Monday – Friday between 8.00am and 11.30a.m.and between 1.30pm and 3.30p.m.
If assistance is required one should book beforehand to check if service is available. Normally the service is provided Monday – Friday between 10.30am and 11.30am.
Participation in the competition Sebbah Pajjizek – the second prize was won by Ms. Monica Chetcuti for the category “L-Isbah Faccata ta’ Dar”.
The Council won the second prize for the year 2000 regarding “l-Ahjar Sforz ghat-Tindif (category B). The organisation of Lejla Valentina, F’Gieh Hal Balzan, Jum Hal Balzan, Lejla Balzanija and the annual concert (in conjunction with the Parish).
